Revised RP Policy - Frostbite

It’s Frostbite. After the little incident with the roleplay policy, I said I would end it and just give the job to someone else. No, I decided that was too lowbrow and stubborn of me to react like that, so I decided to revamp and revise the roleplay policy so it can attempt to please a majority of the users on the site who roleplay. Let's get started, shall we? Since the old roleplay moderator didn’t do their job properly, there will be a new roleplay moderator – me. And to start, I do think that there should be a new policy effective immediately. Upon doing some cleaning of the roleplay area, I’ve noticed the extreme amount of clutter from unfinished (or completed) roleplays and it’s starting to get out of hand because there are pages and pages of this stuff and nobody’s bothering to clean up (a.k.a. transfer them to their appropriate Archived sections) the mess. Therefore, I’ve made this a policy that I will make sure to keep enforced as the official roleplay moderator/administrator. Note the changes that has been established in this revised version of the original roleplay policy, which is now more user-friendly:

—From the day you post in said roleplay, a timer will be set. From the time you first post the aforementioned roleplay towards the month it passed without getting any responses whatsoever, the roleplay or roleplays in question will be and moved to their respected Archived sections. Basically, once someone posts in the roleplay, the timer will reset. If the roleplay does not continue within one month of the user posting, it will be tossed into the Archives. For example, if a roleplay was posted in on the date of April 24, 2011, and it didn’t get a post until May 24, 2011, then that will be moved into the Archives without question. Subsequently, if you post on April 26, then you’ll have until May 26.

Please note that if your roleplay is somehow missing from the area where it originated from (Public, Private, Non-Sonic [non-adult], Non-Adult, etc.), then more than likely, it has been moved to the Archives. Once you post in it after it has been moved, it will be moved back into its original section. Also note that after six months after no posts, the roleplay will be considered discontinued and it will be locked prior to already being moved to its appropriate Archived sections of the roleplay forum after one month. If you are finished with your roleplay and wish to move it to the Archives, contact the RP Administrator and request for said roleplay to be moved to their correct Archives. Please note also that no roleplay will be deleted unless upon request of the user or users in question. If the roleplay in question wishes to be deleted, there must be approval from all users before action is taken place. If all sides agree it must be deleted, the roleplay will be deleted without question. If all sides agree that it must be preserved, the roleplay will stay where it is (unless it hasn’t been moved into the Archives, in which case, it will be moved into the Archives and locked). If there is an evenly split disagreement, the parties must discuss amongst themselves for the deletion or the perseverance of the roleplay. The final decision amongst the party will be observed and their request will be honored. Private roleplays also apply to this rule.

Once again, no roleplays will be deleted from the roleplay forum. However, there are exceptions to this rule. If a specific roleplay in question has not been receiving any form of progress since its creation and after it has been moved to the Archives (at least one month’s notice in advance to the user or users of the roleplay(s) in question), it will be deleted after a certain length of stagnancy – zero, one, or two post roleplays must adhere to this. One other exception to this rule, although objectionable to the user in question, is if one user suddenly decides to stop roleplaying or suffers a detrimental creative slump which causes them to stop roleplaying suddenly. If they have made this announcement, the question remains if they wish to keep their roleplays preserved, regardless as to whether or not it has begun. If they wish to keep their roleplays preserved, they will be locked and moved to their appropriate Archived sections. If not and they wish to request deletion, they can choose to delete certain roleplays at the request of the RP Administrator. This also includes any roleplay in any Archived section of their choice.

This rule WILL shorten your post count if you are a roleplayer, so please take notice of this roleplay rule as it corresponds with your or someone else’s post count every time you request for a roleplay deletion. If you notice a sharp decrease in your post count, more than likely, the roleplay that you were a part of has been deleted.

This will surely keep the sections in the roleplays from getting cluttered up with dead roleplays that have died from a variety of reasons ranging from a banned user, the roleplay being discontinued, or if someone let it die by refusing to post at all. Other roleplays that are older than six months will be locked and moved to their respected Archived sections. This rule will be enforced in the roleplay sections. If anyone has any issues with this revised rule, please address your questions or concerns to me. Thank you.
